Description & Details: A post-doc scientist in the area of the innovative use of DNA-based methods in risk assessment procedures for complex plant products, including GMOs.
The position relates to
- the (further) development of transcriptomics, informative biostatistics and bioinformatics tools adapted to the different research questions.
- the contribution of molecular-biological expertise and innovation to various projects and initiatives.
The post-doc scientist will participate in different projects based on his/her broad molecular-biological background, and work together with biostatisticians and bioinformaticians to achieve the set objectives. The candidate should have demonstrable expertise in all basic molecular biological techniques and, next to this, expertise with working with and insight in different sequence analysis software packages to meet the specific research aims.
We ask
- a doctoral degree in molecular biology or similar molecular biological expertise.
- expertise in all basic molecular biological techniques
- keen interest in aspects of food and feed safety, authenticity and traceability issues.
- effective communication and cooperation skills.

- explorative, innovative, enthusiastic, focused character
- good mastering of the English language in speaking and writing.
We offer
a challenging post-doc position for one year in an international research environment. with possibilities for your development as a scientist . Your performance will be evaluated ; if the evaluation is positive, the contract will be extended. Salary is € 4687,- per month.
