Description & Details: Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Hunter James Kelly Research Institute of SUNY Buffalo in the area of central nervous system myelination. Current research efforts are focused on identifying and characterizing the signals that control the differentiation and myelination of oligodendrocytes during development and in pathological situations such as Multiple Sclerosis. A PhD degree with strong background in molecular and cellular biology, and neuroscience is required, and experience in the following is also preferable: primary cultures, handling of mutant mice and analysis of their phenotype, including biochemical analyses from mouse tissues.
