Description & Details: A 2-year postdoctoral position with the possibility for extension is available with the Microbial Biotechnology and Biorefining Group at the National Food Institute, DTU (Lyngby). The position is focused on engineering lactic acid bacteria (LAB) for the production of butanol isomers for application in bio-jetfuel. The Microbial Biotechnology and Biorefining Group has a strong commitment to research and development in the field of new microbial bioconversion processes. Building on our competences within systems and synthetic biology, we develop new robust microbial workhorses to meet the future challenges involved in the conversion of sustainable feedstocks to chemicals and food ingredients. |
