Description & Details: A 6- month post-doctoral researcher position in high-resolution environmental transmission electron microscopy (ETEM) is available at the Center for Electron Nanoscopy at the Technical University of Denmark. The position is part of an EU project entitled Indium replacement by single-walled carbon nanotubes (IRENA) aimed at making carbon nanotube based Electronics.

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) hold the potential of replacing metals such as indium, and gallium in electronic components, e.g. transparent conducting films (TCF) and thin film field effect transistors (TFT). In order to fulfil this potential, a high degree of control of the chirality of the individual SWCNTs is necessary. IRENA aims at establishing synthesis methods for producing such tubes and using them in consumer products.
