Position Summary
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to:
– Conduct research in developing cue-signal-response models of key immune and tissue cell types which can be leveraged across a wide range of therapeutic areas (immunoscience, immuno-oncology, fibrosis) at different stages of discovery and exploratory clinical research
– Build a knowledge base of cellular stimulus-response data, which can inform the drug discovery process.
– Prepare research reports, manuscripts for publication, and grant or project support applications based on completed or anticipated research.
– Coordinate collaborations with industrial scientists within an industry funded research program.

Minimum Qualifications
– Applicant should possess a Ph.D. degree with training in chemical and biological engineering or pharmaceutical sciences, focusing on multi-scale modeling.
– As this is an advanced modeling appointment, applicant must possess strong fundamental skills in general mathematical and computational modeling, including experience with network-based analyses, and some experience performing wet-lab assays.
– Applicants must have experience with at least one scripting language and modeling platform (e.g., MATLAB preferable, R, and Python).
– Applicant must have a record of early career achievement, such as at least two first-author papers in relevant journals or national conference presentations demonstrating expertise in bioinformatics, mathematical modeling, and/or systems analysis.
– Applicant should be self-motivated, capable of conducting independent research, and possess strong problem solving capabilities, and written and oral communication skills.
