The Water Resources Management group at Wageningen University has a vacancy for a post-doctoral researcher for assessing resource-use efficiency (RUE) in agriculture across spatiotemporal scales. This is done as a part of the project ‘Checks and Balances for RUE assessment: reducing yield gaps while accounting for nutrient- and water fluxes across spatiotemporal scales’. The project aims to develop an assessment framework to account for the water- and nutrient related effects of investments in agricultural research & development. Hydrological and agronomic modelling tools will be used to obtain improved understanding of the influence of land and water management on spatially-explicit water and nutrient balances (P and N) for selected water systems. This project is a joint effort of four groups: Water Systems and Global Change (WSG), Plant Production Systems (PPS), Business Economics (BEC) and Water Resources Management (WRM).
