Description & Details: Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher to work on an ERC (European Research Council) Starting Grant funded postdoctoral position in the group of Dr. Yogesh Kulathu at the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit, University of Dundee, Scotland. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to undertake research aimed at understanding how cytotoxic T cell (CTL) function and immune responses are regulated by ubiquitin signalling networks. Candidates with interests in immunology and signal transduction mechanisms regulated by posttranslational modifications will be suited for this position. The candidate should have a strong background in biochemistry or immunology. It is expected that the candidate will develop and apply a broad range of techniques to pursue the research objectives. The successful candidate will benefit from the cutting edge facilities in biochemistry, cell biology, drug discovery, and proteomics available within the School of Life Sciences. This position is available for 4 years. Starting salary will depend on experience, but will be up to £33,574 (Spinal Point 32). |
