Description & Details:  Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position for 1 year at the Department of Engineering at Aarhus University, Denmark.

The project will focus on aspects of material and polymer chemistry for developing recyclable and sustainable fibre reinforced composites. You will primarily work with developing new methodologies for creating and building materials from a molecular point of view with the aim of developing composites with molecular trickers incorporated into the material. The trickers are to disintegrate the composite matrix with a controlled external stimulus. We offer an exciting interdisciplinary environment with many international and strong industrial collaborators and the possibility to shape a project at the forefront of science and technology.

Potential candidates should have experience and expertise in at least one of the following areas:

·         Polymer synthesis and post modification of polymers.

·         Design and handling of fibre reinforced composite materials.

·         Material analysis techniques (SEM, ATR-IR, mechanical testing, DSC, and solid state NMR).
