The work will include topics on laboratory automation, development, implementation and application of high throughput metabolic engineering tools for actinomycetes, and the identification and characterization of novel secondary metabolite biosynthesis pathways.

Required qualifications for the position:

·         PhD in molecular biology, microbiology, or a relevant field

·         Extensive knowledge of secondary metabolite biosynthesis / actinomycete biology OR metabolic engineering tools and methods

·         Proven ability to work creatively in an international team environment

·         Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills

·         Strong English written and oral language skills
