Postdoc in Evolutionary Ecology at University of Cambridge-PhD Bioinformatics, Population genetics -Apply

Description & Details:  We are looking for a bioinformatician/population geneticist to work with Dr Andrea Manica on a project investigating past demography in humans. This ERC funded post is available for up to 6 months, with a start date of 1 March 2015.

This project focuses on reconstructing the past demography of anatomically modern humans, as part of an ERC project looking at the effect of natural selection in humans. The successful candidate will be involved in analysing data from modern and ancient genomes to better reconstruct the out of Africa expansion and understand the processes that led to the diversification of populations. The project will most rely on data already available, but data collection (mostly ancient DNA) might also be possible.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for up to 6 months.
