Description & Details: Postdoctoral Position in Epigenetics and Cancer: Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL, United States
The laboratory of Dr. Nupam Mahajan at Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researcher interested in fundamental mechanisms of Tyrosine kinase mediated epigenetic modifications and their role in cancers. Our research group has identified novel histone modification marks (Nature Struc. Mol Biol. 19, 930–937; 2012) and interrogated the fundamental processes driven by these novel epigenetic events. We pursue how these epigenetic events participate in tumor progression, especially prostate and breast cancer and have identified small molecules that could overcome drug-resistance. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher working in these areas. Candidates will have a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related Biological Science and publication record in these areas.
