Description & Details: Applications are invited for a post-doctoral researcher to work with Prof. Michele Vendruscolo in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, in close collaboration with MedImmune (Cambridge). The group is engaged in research into rational design of protein solubility, with an equal emphasis on methodological aspects and on applications to challenging problems in biomedical sciences. The holder of the post will carry out research to develop methods for the accurate measurement of peptide and protein solubility to use them for drug discovery. Applicants should have a PhD in biophysics, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or related disciplines. The candidates should have a keen interest in applying biophysical and biochemical methods to challenging problems in protein science and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment. The post will be available from May 2016, or as soon as possible thereafter. Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years in the first instance. |
