Scientist (Aquatic Animal Health)-WorldFish-Apply
DESCRIPTION
WorldFish is looking for a scientist with an aquatic animal health background to lead research and training on fish diseases in the WorldFish Egypt research program, in the context of the overall WorldFish research strategy and FISH CGIAR Research Program (CRP). The position will be supported by and report to the fish health specialist based in WorldFish HQ and the Egypt Country Director. They will also support the work of other scientists working for WorldFish in Egypt and Africa.
REQUIREMENTS
- PhD in Aquaculture or Veterinary Science
- At least 5-8 years of relevant research and development experience
- Research leadership, coordination, communication and project cycle management skills
- Strong publications record including peer-reviewed science products in international journals
- Proven fund raising experience
- Excellent English and Arabic language, writing and communication skills
- Commitment to a poverty reduction and food and nutrition security agenda
- Ability and willingness to travel
