We seek a candidate with a strong background in herd health management in pig herds. The preferred candidate has experience in analysing animal health, welfare and production data obtained in observational studies and/or from databases with routinely collected data from private herds.

The focus in the position is on
1) designing and analysing observational data focusing on health problems in pig herds
2) developing methods for assessing health-related indicators for animal welfare at herd level
3) developing tools for improved herd health management in pig herds focusing on disease diagnostics, prevention and handling of disease
